# NM Unit 8 — Tactical Analysis ## Terrain & Access Unit 8 spans high-elevation Sandia Mountain terrain (5,025–10,668 ft) with only 26% public land—the remaining 74% is private ranch and unitized land (private land opened to public hunters via state land-swap program).
